About Us
Maria Pia Alaimo has practiced law since 1997, when she graduated from the Thomas M Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan and was admitted to the New York Bar. As a first-generation child of Sicilian-immigrants, she was the first person in her family to leave home to pursue a professional degree,
After joining the New York Bar, Maria went in to public-interest litigation, representing workers' compensation claimants for a large law-firm in Manhattan. However, in 2000 she chose to practice law in Astoria and more closely serve the community that she has been a part of since childhood. She works with a talented team of legal assistants and paralegals who have decades of experience in law offices, each with a passion for serving clients from across New York City. Today, Maria is the senior partner of her own private practice and lives in Astoria with her young son. She continues to represent workers, families, and community members as they navigate being injured on the job, buying their first homes, or planning ahead for their children and estates. |
